A sustainable development will not be achieved solely by one discipline or even one university, and there is an urgent need for interdisciplinary collaboration. Around 650 researchers and PhD students from 40 different departments at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg are part of the research network for sustainable development administrated by GMV. Sustainable development today is to be integrated into all master’s programmes at Chalmers as a major demand. However, the current master's degree of the MPDSD program differs from most other master's programmes by staying at the forefront of sustainable development within the respective major subject (here Architecture, Urban design and Planning).
